MITS 908DM Desktop Calculator

One of Micro Instrumentation & Telemetry Systems (MITS) earlier desktop electronic calculators, third in line behind the MITS 816 and MITS 1440 calculators. The 908DM provided eight digits of capacity, with fixed or floating decimal point positioning. It used a seven-segment vacuum-fluorescent display with leading and trailing zero suppression. Four function plus one-key square root, reciprocal, and squaring, along with percentage function. Single accumulating memory register. The 908DM uses a later version of an Electronics Arrays multi-chip calculator chip-set, but the details are not known at this time. The MITS 908DM is compatible with the MITS Programmer accessory that adds a rudimentary form of programmability to the 816, 1440, 908DM or 7440 desktop calculators.
