Article announcing calculator development agreement by which Nippon Calculating Machine Co. will develop and manufacture electronic calculators for National Cash Register (NCR) for sale in North America. The NCR 18-2 exhibited in this museum is an example of the results of this agreement. The machines "developed" for NCR were virtually identical to calculators sold in Asia and Europe by NCM's Busicom sales and distribution company with the exception of color schemes, slight cabinetry differences, and of course, badging.
