With lead-times on a monthly publication like Popular Electronics, this article was around three months "late". Electronics Magazine, which was published on a weekly basis, had much shorter lead-times than a monthly publication like Popular Electronics, and thus was able to publish a similar announcement article in a more timely fashion, in November of 1971.
