Friden 1166 Circuit Board #5

Circuit Board #5 is unique to the 1166, providing various control and sequencing functions. "1166" is clearly etched into the upper right corner of the circuit board to designate its exclusive use in the 1166 calculator.

Board #5 in the exhibited Friden 1166 has a total of 19 integrated circuits, of which three are 7400-series TTL devices made by Texas Instruments, with the remainder being DTL devices made by mostly by Motorola, with one TI-made device. Along with the IC's, the board contains five transistors, 27 diodes, 45 resistors, and 15 capacitors.

The bare circuit board in the exhibited calculator carries Friden Part # 7016710 Revision 1, and the complete board assembly has Part # 7016711.
