The Wyle Scientific was quite advanced for its time, with a large capacity CRT display, magnetic drum (in early models, and with later models changing to
a magnetostrictive delay line for better speed and reliability) register/memory storage, programmability via punched cards (which could be taped together to form loops), and automatic square root.
