Information sheet for Mathatronics Mathatron 8-48M (Version I)
There were two versions of the Mathatron 8-48M, Version I, which was
an adaptation of the original Mathatron 8-48 to provide "hard coded"
math programs (in magnetic core-based ROM) for advanced mathematics
functions. The 8-48M was joined by the 8-48C (for Civil Engineering
applications), the 8-48S (for Statistical applications), and the
8-48SC (for Scientific applications). All of these Version I
calculators utilized a rotary switch on the keyboard panel to select
the advanced function, along with an additional keyboard key that
cause the selected function to be executed.
