Early Advertisement for the
Friden 130
Late 1964
This is an early advertisement for
the Friden 130 Electronic Calculator. This advertisement is slightly
later than the Advertisement
found in Newsweek magazine dated November 2, 1964, as the ad
shown here uses the nomenclature
"130 ELECTRONIC CALCULATOR" on the front panel of the calculator, while
earlier ads use "ELECTRONIC CALCULATOR 130", as do the prototype
versions of the machine. The prime indication of the early nature of this
advertisement is the mention that Friden is a subsidiary of
The Singer Company. Later references refer to Friden as a division of
Singer.
